Support For Children
Assessments, Individual Plans & Interventions
We use a comprehensive evidence-based assessment from the UK to establish your child’s strengths, as well as their lagging / lacking skills, to develop your child’s full profile. This helps us to develop learning priorities and measure your child’s progress. Assessments take place through observations and discussions.
This assessment covers the following areas:
-
Communication and Interaction
-
Social Understanding and Relationships
-
Sensory Processing
-
Interests, Routines and Processing
-
Emotional Understanding and Self-Awareness
-
Learning and Engagement
-
Healthy Living
-
Independence and Community Participation

Individual Plan
Once the assessment is complete, we spend time with you to prioritise which skills to focus on first, to most benefit your child and family life and set short term and long term goals. The framework we use, allows us to track progress as your child works through the steps of building these priority skills, moving on to next steps / skills as appropriate and applicable to your child. We believe that it is important for professionals to work together to benefit your child, and as such will work alongside any other therapies / supports happening to facilitate the transferring and consolidating of skills.
1:1 Intervention
In order for your child to develop these priority skills, we suggest weekly 1:1 intervention sessions, which will include resources for you and your child to use across settings. Our aim is always to empower your child by providing security and predictability, helping your child to make sense of the world around them and develop skills to successfully navigate their way through different scenarios. We can deliver these 1:1 sessions ourselves, or we can oversee a program that can be delivered by a tutor of your choice. In all instances we will work alongside other therapies / interventions, such as Speech Therapy / Occupational Therapy to ensure consistency in approach.
I might hit developmental and societal milestones in a different order than my peers, but I am able to accomplish these small victories on my own time.

Constructing Social, Emotional & Communication Skills
Play Therapy With Seriously Good Results!
We follow the research-based program developed by world-renowned Daniel LeGoff and Simon Barren-Cohen.

The best kind of therapy is when it’s so much fun that
the child doesn’t know it’s happening.
LEGO Club for boys and girls, is a small-group therapy that capitalises on the inherently rewarding and motivating aspects of constructive play, proven to be much more effective than other therapies!
Autistic children are able to experience and develop skills such as:
-
Turn Taking and Following Directions
-
Collaboration
-
Joint Attention
-
Joint Accomplishment
-
Managing Disappointments
-
Gaze-following
-
Verbal and Non-verbal Communication
-
Self-regulation and Managing Frustration
-
Problem-solving and Conflict Resolution
-
Managing Disagreements
We will assess your child and then allocated him / her into a small group with peers, similar in age, ability and interests. LEGO Club takes place once a week and runs during term times. Many children develop strong friendships through these clubs, which often continue into adulthood - another of the many benefits of LEGO club!

Forming the building blocks for our kid's future
We know through experience, that neuro-diverse children learn differently from neuro-typical children. We have designed a maths curriculum which enables children to learn at their own pace in a way that suits them, to facilitate learning and progress. We are able to teach Cambridge Maths to iGCSE level.
We can also offer support for Dyslexic children, using an award-winning program from the UK, to identify areas of difficulty and develop the necessary skills.
Maths & Dyslexia Tuition
Mathematics and English form the building blocks for our kids' futures. With nearly 40 years teaching across a wide range of abilities and needs in the UK, we are equipped to teach your child in order to make progress academically, as well as become more confident and resilient.
We deliver 1:1 Maths intervention sessions based on either CAPS (SA) or Cambridge (UK) curriculums. We will assess your child to identify gaps and areas of difficulty to design a plan which will enable your child to not only fill those gaps, but confidently problem-solve within those skill-areas.
